Mitchell Guimont TCF Bank Stadium - Looking away

Full-Stack Software and Web Developer who focuses on writing clean/efficient code and enjoys snowboarding, camping, and playing guitar.

As an accomplished software developer, I’m an extremely creative and curious individual with many years of professional programming experience. I enjoy taking complex problems and finding elegant solutions. Getting websites to behave in Internet Explorer is proof enough. I also love the logic and structure of coding and always strive to write optimal and future proof code, whether it be Java, PHP, or Python.

About Me

Mitchell Guimont TCF Bank Stadium

My name is Mitchell Guimont, I am a seasoned full-stack software/web developer, database administrator, team lead, and mentor. I am originally from a small town called Nowthen located in Minnesota. I now live in a suburb of Minneapolis called Bloomington. Since I was young, I have always had a fascination for technology and its ability to steadily change over time. This fascination has driven me to challenge myself and constantly learn new skills.

While in High School and college, I worked at NewsPortalSite, a web application hosting and design business, whose primary clients included magazine and newspaper companies. During the four years I worked there, I rose through the ranks to become Senior Lead Developer. As a senior staff member, my responsibilities included designing/engineering new applications and features, mentoring/managing all other developers in best coding practices, and managing all company servers.

After graduating from the University of Minnesota, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science emphasizing on Software Engineering, I joined a software development company called, Blueprint Solutions in Eden Prairie, Minnesota. There, I have been honing my skills in coding, customer support, business operations, and time management.

When I am not busy coding, I am probably hanging out with my wife, snowboarding, rock climbing, or camping.
